New house in Bulli, NSW
2007
Bulli House
Surrounded on three sides by neighbours, the house draws inspiration from Utzon's Mallorca and Bayview courtyard houses, looking inwards as much as outwards.
Two pavilions, tilting sharply towards the sun and sea breeze define two edges of a courtyard, and stand in counterpoint to a long red-ironbark clad building containing bedrooms to the west. The building is alternately very open or very closed depending on the particularities of site.
