Architect Guides.

Our tours are professionally organised and delivered in an informal, conversational, and light-hearted manner by a local architect.

We pride ourselves on communicating clearly and directly. Conversations are lively and our language is inclusive and pitched to the level of our audience.

Our guides are not really guides at all – they are experts in their field but they are also passionate and engaged locals who have a nose for the special things that Sydney offers, be it unusual bars, café’s and restaurants or galleries, unusual shops, amazing interiors or buzzy streets. We’re pretty damn fond of Sydney’s beaches too!

How we draw up your Program.

Based on your group size, dates, specific area of interest as well as your group’s level of design experience, we sketch up a tour itinerary that suits your needs.

Tours are generally built around one of our public tours, with meeting points, coffee breaks (very important), food stops and end points considered to ensure the experience is as enjoyable, inspiring and informative as possible. With larger groups we employ a state-of-the-art wireless communication system at a small additional per-person cost.

Quality.

We have grown organically since 2000 and done so independent of any government or corporate assistance so our conversations are, by necessity, sharp!

SAW is a member of the Guiding Architects Network, a group of over 40 cities around the world offering guided tours led by architects. This relationship allows us to draw on the resources and experience of our colleagues in other cities.

SAW Clients.

We conduct tours throughout the year for university groups, study abroad programs, architectural offices, design, engineering and planning professionals, incentive and team-building groups, high school, primary school, individuals and social groups.

We have conducted tours for groups as small as one and as large as 140 – but groups of between 10 and 30 people is most common.
